CN Tower Climb - Update

Hello climbers!  The CN Tower Climb is just a few days away.  Are you excited?!?!  I am!  Apparently, we are one of WWF's top teams!   Way to go Jackman!

What?  You haven't joined yet?   WWF has closed registration for Saturday's CN Tower Climb... but that doesn't mean you're out of luck.  You can still join Jackman's Climbing Team. Just email me directly and I can help you get signed up.   paul.cressman@tdsb.on.ca

I recently sent a email to the team outlining some things you should know for Saturday's climb.   If you missed it, here are the details now. Please contact me, your team captain, if you have any further questions.   Can't wait to climb with you!
  • We will meet at 8am on Saturday morning, April 8.   We need some time to get registered and organized.   We’ll likely be climbing by 8:45.   And we’ll be up top at 9:30.   We’ll take some team pictures and take some time to enjoy the view.  Elevator back down.   Line up for t-shirts and other prizes.
  • We will meet at Metro Convention Centre North Building, Hall C – 255 Front Street West
  • Wear some comfortable clothing and sneakers.   There is a coat check (though, to avoid the hassle, I may leave my coat in the car).
  • Here’s the worst part.   This is a ‘hands free/pockets’ event   You’re not allowed to take cell phones, cameras, bags, backpacks or water bottles.  Small zippered pouches for keys, credit card, ID and medication are allowed.  Water will be available at the top after your climb.
  • I have arranged for two volunteers (one teacher and one parent) to take the elevator to the top.  They will be there to meet us when we arrive.   If you like, they can hold onto your cell phone and pass it along to you at the top so you can take some pics or post your accomplishment on social media.
  • All climbers under 18 years old, need a signed waiver.   I’ll print some and leave them in the office.   Please drop by and pick one up.   I’ll also bring some on Saturday morning for anyone who forgot.
  • Remember your commitment to fundraise at least $100.   You can ask your donors to sponsor you directly online.  That’s the easiest way.  If your donors give you cash, you can just pocket the cash and use your credit card to add the donation online.
  • Check out the FAQ at wwf.ca/cntower for more information about the event.
