If you're like me, you probably
have some worn out clothes hanging in your closet, or some other textiles that you just don't need anymore.
And you're thinking... "What can I do with all these textiles?"
Well, one thing's for sure... DON'T THROW THEM OUT! They don't belong in a landfill.
Instead, save them and drop them off at school. You see, on Friday, May 3, we will be hosting a Bag2School event at Jackman.
Bag2School is an eco organization working to divert textiles from the landfill. They will make sure these textiles are reused and recycled textiles, which is way better than disposing them, don't you agree?
It's just one more way the Jackman community can commit to reducing the waste we create. We hope everyone will participate! Last year we collected 1438 kilograms of textiles. Very impressive! Wondering what will this year bring.
Please note: This is a ONE DAY ONLY event! Mark your calendars! FRIDAY, MAY 3. Drop off your bags of clothes and textiles in front of the school between 8am and 10am on Friday, May 3.
Thanks for participating in this incredible waste reduction event.
