Walk-to-School Week

So many Jackman kids are walking to school!   We love that!   We know that walking is a healthy, eco-friendly way to travel to school.    Not to mention, it's a whole lot of fun!  

So, once again, we're celebrating Walk-To-School Week at Jackman.   Mark your calendars... October 9 - 12 (right after the Thanksgiving weekend).

Let's celebrate all the kids and families that walk to school on a regular basis.  We'd also like to encourage more kids and families to give it a try.  You'll be glad you did.

Jackman's Eco Team (the JETs) are busy planning some special activities for walkers during Walk-to-School Week.  So plan to arrive to school a little bit early to join the fun.   

Recycling Markers

At Jackman, we are trying to reduce our waste.   We recycle as much as possible.  Paper, boxes, plastics, cans and more.

And we've been collecting old markers for a special recycling.   This year, we collected 27 kg of old markers.   Wow!  That's a lot of markers rescued from the landfill!
