Gardening at Jackman

Spring is Jackman's favourite season.   And if you're wondering why, let me tell you.   Spring time is GARDEN time at Jackman.  We have been waiting a long time for the schoolyard to green once again.   Finally, the flowers are blooming, trees are covered with new leaves and the bushes are greening too.

That leaves one thing... Jackman's vegetable garden!   We've planned an exciting garden this year.   Check it out, we planted...  tomatoes, potatoes, corn, zucchini, pumpkin, butternut squash, beans, kale, lettuce, beets, carrots, garlic, onion, basil, and something new... mouse melon (it's small like a grape, tastes like a cucumber).  Also new this year, we have constructed a giant tee-pee for the beans to climb up.

Thanks to all the teachers, kids and parents who have helped make our vegetable garden a big success.

Next time you're at Jackman, come check out it out!   Until you do, you can enjoy these gardening pics...
