We hope Jackman families support us as we try to reduce the number of juice boxes at school. Let me explain…
1. Many kids don’t understand how to dispose of juice boxes. They put them in the garbage instead of recycling. They put them in the recycling but forget to remove the straw. They put them in the recycling when the boxes are still half full of juice. They litter them on the floor in the lunchroom or in the schoolyard.
2. Single-use juice boxes don’t fit our littlerless lunch program. Juice boxes are used once and then thrown away. Refillable/reusable juice containers can be used all year long.
3. Juice boxes don’t fit our boomerang lunch program. They can’t be saved for later (without making a huge mess).
So help us reach our goal… Making Less Garbage by reducing how many juice boxes are used at school. Maybe one day, Jackman will become a zero juice box zone.
